Our team of global connectivity experts will be at MEDICA in Düsseldorf, Germany November 13-16 discussing our work with a variety of digital healthcare providers.
Our eSIM team was interested to read this recent piece in The Guardian, a well-respected UK-based newspaper, in which the author describes his move to eSIM with the purchase of a new iPhone with no slot for a traditional physical SIM card – and how he bought an eSIM to provide coverage in a country he was visiting.
Our maritime connectivity team recently received an urgent ‘Please Help Me’ call from a global shipping company that had switched to Starlink for all its global connectivity and then realised that the service doesn’t provide connectivity in some areas - most notably around China and Taiwan.
At first sight, this seems a controversial question. And, in some respects, it is. Roaming is simply the service by which your devices can connect to networks in other countries. If you are a traveller, you want to connect your handset to do the same things you do when at home. If you are shipping devices around the world, you need them to be able to connect to any network. In both cases, roaming fees may be charged.
